By using Bloc you agree to what follows. Please read the section on blocking carefully — it affects how your phone behaves.
Licence#
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Bloc on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, or attempt to extract its source or assets.
What blocking actually does#
When a session starts, Bloc asks iOS to shield the apps, categories and websites you selected. This is enforced by iOS, not by us, and it has real consequences you should understand before starting a session:
- Shielded apps will not open for the length of the session. In Deep Focus the session cannot be paused, cancelled or shortened, and restarting your phone does not lift it.
- You may therefore miss notifications, messages or content inside those apps until the session ends.
- Never shield anything you may need in an emergency. Phone calls, Messages and Emergency SOS are not blocked by this app, but you are responsible for what you put on the list.
No guarantee of blocking#
Blocking depends on Apple’s Screen Time frameworks and on system permissions you can revoke at any time in Settings. We cannot guarantee that shielding is complete, uninterrupted or impossible to circumvent, and Bloc is not a security or parental-control product.
Subscriptions#
Bloc is free to use. Bloc Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that removes the free limits: focus sessions longer than 60 minutes, unlimited Deep Focus, unlimited shielded apps and websites, and full focus history.
- Bloc Pro is offered as a monthly or a yearly subscription. The exact price for your region, the length of the period, and any introductory or trial offer are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, and on the App Store product page.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage the subscription or turn off auto-renewal at any time in Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions, or from Profile ▸ Manage subscription inside the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the current period ends.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy the subscription.
- Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms, not by us.
Not health advice#
Bloc is a self-management and motivation tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological or therapeutic advice or treatment for any condition, including attention disorders or addiction.
Your data#
Your city, Screen Time selection, and focus history live only on your device. Apple and Adapty process purchase and subscription information as described in the Privacy Policy. If you delete the app or use Delete all data, your local content is gone and cannot be recovered by us or by you.
Liability#
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use — including anything missed while apps were shielded. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes#
These terms may change with future versions; the updated date at the top will reflect that. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the current terms.
