Your focus activity and city stay on your device, and there is no Bloc account to create. Bloc uses Adapty to provide subscription and purchase infrastructure. This page explains what stays local and what that service processes.
Data sent off-device#
When the app starts, Adapty creates an anonymous subscriber profile and processes limited technical information needed to operate subscription features, such as app and SDK version, device model, operating system, locale, time zone, and purchase or subscription status when available. Bloc configures Adapty not to collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) or IP address. Your selected apps, Screen Time tokens, focus sessions, city, settings, and content are never sent to Adapty.
What the app stores on your device#
- Your Screen Time selection — which apps, categories and websites you chose to shield. iOS gives apps only opaque tokens for these, never names or icons, and those tokens are stored in the app’s private App Group container.
- Your focus history — start time, planned and actual length, and whether the session finished.
- Your city — the buildings you have earned, their state and position, plus citizens, coins and streak.
- Your settings — language preference, Deep Focus default, and whether onboarding is done.
Screen Time data#
Bloc uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity frameworks solely so you can shield your own apps during a focus session. The authorization is requested in individual mode, for self-management. Screen Time activity tokens never leave the device and are never sent to any analytics service.
Backups#
Because this data lives in the app’s container, it is included in your encrypted iPhone or iCloud backups if you have those enabled. That is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms; we have no access to it.
Third parties#
Bloc contains no advertising and does not use Adapty for cross-app tracking. Apple processes App Store transactions. Adapty provides the anonymous subscriber profile, purchase-status, paywall-delivery, and subscription analytics infrastructure. We do not sell personal data. See Adapty’s end-user privacy notice.
Deleting your data#
Profile ▸ Delete all data erases your city, focus history, settings, and app selection immediately and permanently. Deleting the app removes that local content as well. To request deletion of information processed through the anonymous Adapty subscriber profile, contact us at the address below.
Children#
Bloc is intended for people aged 13 and over and is designed for managing your own device, not someone else’s.
Changes#
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top changes with it, and the new version ships with the app update.
